Debbie has always told me that there is a strategy when eating steamers. never eat a steamer in a month that ends in the letter ‘R.’ Today we decided to throw this rule out the window and head to Moby’s to eat our last steamers of the year. Since we would be so close to Sandy Hook we decided to take Lillian to the beach as well. The weather was fairly balmy and nice and it was a good day to be outside.

We got to Moby’s at around 2pm and ordered up a full order ot steamers to share. I felt extra hungry so I also ordered up a friend clam sandwich. Debbie said she didn’t feel that hungry so she stuck with just the steamers. Later on she changed her mind and ordered up a friend shrimp sandwich. Everything was delicious - even with the letters in the month.

Afterwards we hit Sandy Hook and spread a blanket out near the water. We brought the pail and sand molds that the Hoovers sent to Lillian before Wildwood and we made a bunch of sand turtles, octopuses and a crab. A bit later Lillian watched as Debbie and I tossed the Nerf around.

At around 4pm Lillian let us know that it was time to go so we gathered everything up and left.
